I think NCC has the ability to teach a person the necessary discipline needed in a person's life.
For the people who think NCC is just a scary strict program I would love to change their perspective. NCC annual camps are the best thing a person can try.
You get a chance to explore your inner leader. Leadership is one of the most important quality a person can have. It helps you immensely in your life.
Also, doesn't it feel amazing to be a part of something? Something that matters?
I bet at one point while you are in NCC you just think of leaving everything and serving the nation for your entire life. That thought is very important. A person feels proud of their country and nationalism glorifies in the best way possible.
So, yes I do think it should be made compulsory so that a even a judgemental person has to indulge just to realize how wonderful it is. I am a high school student and an ex-NCC cadet and till now it has been the best thing I have ever been a part of. I feel proud as an individual and as an Indian.
