it is said that in third law of mation the forces act on different objects so they do not cancel each other but for example a box is kept on the groun then box will exert s force on the ground and the ground will exert a force on the and they will cancel each other.why?

because both forces are balanced. But when a horse pull s a cart , the force exerted by the horse is more than of a frictional force of the cart . In simple words, the horse exerts unbalanced force on the cart
