Answer:

Reproduction is a process by which living organism produces offspring which are similar to itself . Reproduction is process which occurs in living organisms but it is not necessary for survival and the organism can perform all life functions even if it cannot reproduce like sterile couples and worker honey bees , unlike other life processes like digestion, respiration, circulation, excretion and coordination without which the organism dies . So reproduction is a fundamental feature of life but not a mandatory feature .
