Answer:

my dear

potassium and sodium reacts with water to produce hydrogen gas.

when sodium reacts with oxygen it produces lot of heat and light as sodium is stored in kerosene it is immediately taken out and and is kept on a kerosene to cut it and iskept in deflagrating and is heated in fire .

It suddenly or quickly catches fire as it has a very low ignition temperature and the taken inside the gas jar when keep it inside we can see it start to explode like a cracker.

and produces sodium oxide.

sodium(Na) + Oxygen (O) --> Sodium oxide (Na2O)
