It is seen that chromosome number is 16 in zygote , embryonal cells as well as adult of a particular organism . Justify .

1. number of zygote, embryonal cell and adult of a particular organism is always constant.

2. This results in number of chromosomes getting halved in gametes. When fertilization happens, the number of chromosomes becomes equal to that in somatic cells
