Yes it is correct that small shops and local markets are losing their influence because of supermarkets and malls because as per the increasing population and increasing interest, comfort and show off, peoples want to buy everything from big malls and supermarkets where else it provide branded objects, good quality goods and everything all.. . It becomes like hobby to buy from there. Even small to small product is borrowed from there. And beside the supermarkets/malls the small and local  shops are only for the poors who have not that much status and dare to go there, which is know not there that much. So i think in future there will the more the mall or supermarket is big the more is value like Walmart and Flipkart and the less the shops or market is small the less is value like streets market.
