x₂=x                y₂=1

∴ 5=√(1-x)²+(1-1)²

squaring both sides

25=(1-x)²+(1-1)²

25=1+x²-2x

x²-2x-24

x²-6x+4x-24

x(x-6)+4(x-6)

(x+4)(x-6)

∴ x= -4,6
