Literature is thought of compositions such as poetry and prose that are written, however going along with this notion, one may neglect as prevalent in many oral traditions the artistic beauty of these compositions.
- There is a further source of literature that includes compositions that are both thematically and aesthetically interesting.
- Oral literary culture in India is not a single phenomenon. Oral traditions existed in every part of the world. Oral traditions don't die out due to their very existence of being orally transmitted.
- Whether we change our notion of literature or not, or whether oral traditions continue to exist, it does not matter. What needs to be done is to promote oral literary tradition through state patronage.
