Yes these type of question do come in examination and are quite easy as well just practice 2-3 questions of each type

method :-
make the coeff of x^2=1 by dividing the entire eq by the coeff of x^2
divide and multiply the term with single x with 2
say if after dividing by coeff of x^2
the term with x looks like › 2/3 x
then write it like 2.(2/6) .x
now add and subtract (2/6)^2 in the equation
you will get a perfect square and the term not included in the perfect sq needs to be added/ subtracted
