applying turmeric to the doors,is considered to be a superstition, but the scientific reason behind that is, turmeric is a natural antibiotic,which can stop the micro-organisms, bacteria, insects coming into the home
thus applying turmeric to main door has a great science behind it

applying bindi on forehead is superstitious.but it makes the nerve which lies under the skin where it is applied very active.by this our brain works sharply as this nerve is passed in brain.
