Introduction
The first day at a swimming class was like the first day in school for me. I was completely scared. I didn't want to learn swimming at all. I only liked to watch other people in pool. But me? No way!! I have a phobia in water. I feel completely out of breath when I see such a huge water body around me. So it was not at all easy for me to go for swimming class on the first day. Neither it became easy for me to sustain in the class later. But that is an altogether different story. I will come to it some other time. For now, let me describe how was the first swimming class for me.
When I entered the pool area
The school I studied in contained a swimming pool inside the campus. Thus the swimming classes were kept, so that students learnt swimming over there. Trust me when I entered the pool area, I felt really nice. Although I have a phobia for water bodies, I did not think that I myself will have to enter the water body at that point. I saw other girls in the pool and they were having a fun time. I stood there by the pool and watched the fun and frolic and chatted with my seniors. Suddenly a husky voice and hefty hand grabbed me from behind and asked me to jump in the pool. I vehemently protested about it. I have a fear of suffocation in water. She said, "Kuch nehi hoga, jump mar". It means, nothing will happen, don't be afraid and jump. She literally pushed me from behind.
