it os possible to costract a quadrilateral ABCD in which AB=3cm,BC=4cm,CD=5.5cm,DA=6cm and BD=9cm?if not,give reason.

It is not possible as if you draw the figure, you will get two triangles, ΔABD

and ΔBCD. As you know a triangle has the property that sum of any two sides is greater than the third side.

This is not satisfied in ΔABD as AB+AD = BD but it has to be AB+AD>BD

Therefore, it is not possible.
