Easy if you look carefully at the diagram.

Since side length , a = 8 units

and area of equilateral triangle =\sqrt{3}a^2/4

we get area =16root(3)

Now if we join FC,

we get angle AFC= 90 + 60/2 = 120 ( this is a ncert theorem since it can be easily proven that AE bisects angle A and FC bisects angle C)

and since AFC is congruent triangle to AFB Then by CPCT angle AFC=AFB=120 as required

(again I am considering that you have basic knowledge level of NCERT)

and finally since AE and BD are medians  they divide each other in ratio 2:1 and AE^2=8^2 - 4^2=48

hence AE=4root(3)

and AF= 2/3 of 4root(3) = 8/root(3) your answer
