Given,

Total cost \[ = 5400\]

Rate of fencing \[ = 13.50per\,meter\]

Solution,

Calculate the area of the square field,

\[\begin{array}{l} = \frac{{5400}}{{13.50}}\\ = 400{m^2}\end{array}\]

Know that in case of square the length and width will be same.

(i) the length of the side of the field.

Consider the length of the field is l.

\[\begin{array}{l}{l^2} = 400{m^2}\\ \Rightarrow l = 20m\end{array}\]

Length of side of the field\[ = 20m\]

(ii) the length of the side of the field the area of the field.

Length of side of the field\[ = 20m\]

Area of the side of the field is equal to perimeter of the square.

\[\begin{array}{l} = 4l\\ = 4 \times 20\\ = 80m\end{array}\]

Hence the length of side of field is 20m and area of side of the field is 80m.
