Intermediate goods or producer goodsor semi-finished products are goods, such as partly finished goods, used as inputs in the production of other goodsincluding final goods. A firm may make and then use intermediate goods, or make and then sell, or buy then use them.

intermediate goods are those goods which are used in making final goods like wood is an intermediate good and furniture is a final good which is produced from good. the value of intermediate goods is not included in GDP because they are not made for final consumption and the final goods already include the value of intermediate goods.
hope it help
