It takes 15 mins to heat 2 kg of water from 30° C to 100° C using an electric kettle of resistance 10 ohms. How much energy is taken by the kettle? What is the amount of power consumed by the kettle? If one kWh costs 60 paise, how much will you pay?

energy = mc^2
energy = 140kwh
140 = p x 15/60
p = 560kw
cost = 2 rupees 33 paise
