Answer:

A contractor employed 30 men to complete a project in 60 days. But after 20 days, it is observed that only 25% of the work is completed. How many additional men does the contractor need to employ to complete the work on time?

Give Amazon a try.

The required work is to be done in 60 days. But the 30 workers completed 25% of work in 20 days. Therefore

The completed part of work = 25%

The completed work units = 30*20 =600

So 25% of work = 600 units

Total work =2400 units

So to complete the work in time = 40 days to complete the work

Required work units to complete =2400–600

=1800 units.

No of men required to complete 1800 units of work in 40 days = 1800÷40

=45

We have already 30 men. the more men required =45-30=15
