4.5 \: mins  = 7.5 {m}^{2} \\ 1 {m}^{2}  = 45 \div 7.5 \\ 9 {m}^{2}  = \: 9 \times 45 \div 7.5 \\9 {m}^{2}  = 54mins \\  therefore \: the \: time \: taken \: to \: dig \: 9 {m}^{2}  = 54mins

Answer:

Time taken by gardener to dig a 7.5 m^2 flower bed = 45 minutes

.: Let the time taken to complete 9m^2 flower bed be x.

.: 45 minutes = 7.5m^2

x = 9m^2

By cross multplication

45×9 = x

7.5

.: x = 54

Therefore it takes 54 minutes for the gardener to dig a flower bed of 9m^2.

Hope it helps!!!!
