It takes time 8 minute for light to reach from the sun to the earth surface . If speed of light is taken to be 3*100000000m s,find the distance from sun to the earth in km.

speed = 3×100000000m/s

time = 8mins = 8×60sec

= 480sec

distance= speed × time

= 300000000× 480

= 144000000000m=144000000km
