Distance between the sun and the earth
=Time*Speed
=(8*60) sec * (3*10^8) m/sec
=(1.44*10^11)/10^3 km
=1.44*10^8 km

Hope this helps! :)

LaxmirlolaBehera: it is the correct answer. thanks

Answer: The distance from the sun to the earth is 1.44\times10^{8}\ km

Experiments:

Given that,

Time t = 8 min

Speed v= 3\times10^{8}

We know that,

The speed is defined as:

v =\dfrac{d}{t}

The distance is the product of the speed and time. its unit is meter.

Therefore, the distance is

d = v\times t

d = 3\times10^{8}\times 480

d = 1.44\times10^{11} m

d = 1.44\times10^{8}\ km

Hence, The distance from the sun to the earth is 1.44\times10^{8}\ km
