Rohit froze on the noise of the phone. He thought it was Josh, the man looking for him. He slowly got off the couch, and went closer to the phone to see the number. To his happy surprise, it was not Josh. It was Michael, his best friend. He picked up the phone and started a conversation with Michael. They spoke about the weather, school, teacher, and other interesting things. Rohit mentioned that he was alone and scared, so Michael comforted him to the best of his ability. When they ended the conversation, Rohit went back to watch TV. Suddenly, he heard a weird noise coming from his kitchen. He was now petrified. He grabbed a flashlight and went to the kitchen. He saw his cat trying to get the canned food from the fridge. Rohit, who was calm since nobody was there but still thought that sooner or later they will come for him, switched off all lights and went to bed.
