Answer:

It was a normal day and I was utilising the holiday by reading a book of my favourite detective, Sherlock Holmes,in the garden. Suddenly, I heard a thud! When I turned around I realised a man dressed in shabby rags had just thrown a bag in our garden. He looked around fearfully and ran away hurriedly. I called out to him, but he pretended he had not heard me. I called out my parents immediately as the bag looked suspicious. We all remembered the warning issued by the authorities to never claim abandoned objects. The police was informed and they arrived. Promptly, the bomb squad was called by the police. they arrived with sniffer dogs and modern gadgets. After an hour of testing, it was declared that the bag did not have explosive material. all the commotion had brought out the neighbours and soon there was a crowd outside our house. I was curious to know what was inside that bag- if it was not a bomb, then perhaps it had stolen jewels, antiques or cash. Finally, the police opened the bag to find a bundle of old, used clothes stuffed into it. What a letdown to such an exciting day! To this day, the identity of that shabby man and the reason for his throwing the bag of old clothes in our garden remains a mystery. I was disappointed that I could not boast to my friends about being the detective who had helped nab a criminal and solve a crime.
