It was a day like any other,
As we waited for our loving mother
to arrive at our humble home.
It wasn't large, but it was all our own.
The walls sheltered us from the weather
and housed the memories we shared together.
It was more than plaster, brick, and stone.
It was love, and care, and affections shown.
But then one day the weather changed.
The sky grew yellow and the wind howled strange.
My brother and I drew near the radio,
and the weatherman warned us of a tornado!
