The man picked up his stick, gave it to him and asked him where he was going. By now the blind man had come back to his normal self and he answered that he was returning from his office and his home was just a few yards away from where they stood. The Colonel requested him to sit in the car and offered him to drop him home. The blind man hesitated first, but when he requested again, he went along.
During their short journey, the blind man told the Colonel that he was working as a flutist at Sahitya Kala Academy and his wife was also working there as a Classical singer. She was blind too. He felt sad after hearing it and wanted to do something for the blind man, but the disposition of the blind man numbed his vocal chords. Being a normal person, we either pity such differently abled people, making them feel so small or we turn a blind eye towards them, he thought. Why can't we take them as just another human being like us, he mused again.
'Sir, please stop, here comes my home." said the blind man.
The Colonel wondered if the blind man deserved either pity or neglect, for exactly he knew where his house was, though sitting in his car, as if seeing into the darkness. He wished he had not pitied him and replied, "Goodbye friend, hope to see you again."
The mystery

It was a hot day a blind man was crossing the road suddenly a car came and the driver tried to apply breaks and the breaks did not work properly and it took some time to work, now the driver was scared thinking that he had hurt the old man but the old man was saved mysteriously and actually the driver thought that he had crossed over him, he came out of the car to ask the man weather he was hurt or not but the man had vanished.
The driver was spending his time thinking about the man after he had reached home and he could not understand anything because his breaks were functioning well before and how can a man vanish within seconds.
The next day he went to the same site where the incident had taken place , he went to some shops and asked about the old man, they described that he was blind and there is no one to look after him and the shopkeeper also told that the theft had increased when he started roaming around in that region.
The next day the car driver thought that the blind man was the thief and he was the main reason for the theft in that region , so he hid himself in a nearby tree to watch what is gonna happen, suddenly he could hear the footsteps of a man then the car driver started to follow him and he caught the old man stealing things , he caught him red handed and then he came to know that he was not a old man nor blind he was a known robber of the whole city , later the driver took him to the police and the police arrested him and the car driver went home peacefully
