It was Sunday evening and my parents were not at home. Being alone I could not sleep peacefully. To make matters worse there was an outage. I went to the kitchen and as I lighted the candle suddenly I saw a scorpion crawling across the floor and hid under the bed. I jumped onto the bed out of fear. Scorpions scared me to death. I had a creeping feeling that the scorpion would climb up the wall and sting me.

So I was on tenterhooks until my parents returned. Actually they had gone to attend a wedding party. I had opted out to stay back at home to watch my favourite reality show on TV. Unfortunately, the weather got ro
