THE QUELL OF A  BORING NIGHT

It was a night in the middle of June. It was terribly hot. The year was still to make it worse. There was no electricity. After the day's hardwork, I felt totally exhausted but had no choice rather than to sit alone in the balcony or go to sleep in this terrible heat. I thought that sitting in the balcony would be better so I altered the plan. After sitting alone a few minutes, I saw my neighbours also in their respective balconies. They were chatting and then decided to play "antakshari." They asked me if I wanted to join them. I am not a person of self imposed seclusion, so I merely agreed. Then after a couple of hours the electricity came and my joy knew no bounds. I waved a good bye to my neighbours and rushed to my room. I couldn't even imagine how the time curtailed out with the presence of my neighbours. Thinking all in a wonder I was fast asleep. Power cut is not always as bad as people think.

Hope it helps.....

Answer:

Explanation:

After a hectic day of work at the factory, I came back home with a severe headache. It was the middle of June and my room on the 2nd floor of the rented apartment was extremely hot even at night. I was not feeling like eating so had a glass of water and lied on my bed.

Not a single leaf of the tree outside was moving, due to the absence of any breeze. The fan was the only source of air in my room. But to my utter dismay, there was a sudden power cut. I was feeling like I would be dying soon in heat.

I prayed to God and after 20 minutes the electricity was restored. And the icing on the cake was that it started raining too. I felt relaxed. I got up, had some milk and went to sleep with a smile on my lips and thanked God for this unexpected but much-needed gift.
