t was a rainy day and I was all alone at my home. It was dark outside. Suddenly I heard someone knocking at my door. I stared at the wall clock, it was 1. I got terrified. My legs started shaking. As I moved my steps forward, my heartbeats started increasing. The knocks of the door were becoming loud and loud and loud................
Frightened , I went towards the door. As I reached and opened it, I saw an old man standing in front of me who was much more looking like a maniac. His face was covered with long beard. His eyes were shining as that of a cat. His nails were so long as if he had not been cutting them since a year.
He looked at me fiercefully. At first, I didn't know what to do. I was very terrified. But then, I came to my senses, tempted to talk.
He told me about his past life. After a few minutes talk with him, I realized that he was the professor of a renowned University who was arrested on the cause of allegiance. He was looking like a wild beast but he was a very kind hearted fellow. He was a very learned man. But the society made him look fierce.
I provided him with food, clothing and shelter. He expressed his gratitude towards me and apologized for banging the door the previous day. He left my house the next day with a sense of gratitude.
I thought of forgetting it as a dream that passed away. The help I did to the man was good but thinking of what the society did to the man made me hate myself!!
