It was a normal Monday evening when I got out of my office. The day was horrible, getting assigned to so many tasks and failing to carry them out had left me not so very pleased with myself. i watched people fumply making their way into the crowded bus as I took out my car keys and climbed in. My mood was slowly deteriorating by every second and the chaos of the crowded city weren't helping much either. I decided not to go straight home and take a drive around town. lost in my thoughts and not paying much attention to where exactly i was driving to I ended up in a secluded region with some little houses in either side of the road. There wasn't even a streetlight, or light of any kind, in sight. The road was just so slightly illuminated by the lights of the houses. i decided not to stay there any longer. Frustration got to me and I started driving very fast and took every curb I came across. i kept driving aimlessly for sometime. An ominous feeling set over me as I saw the road coming to an end, my headlight illuminated the deadend, I slammed the break with all my energy. My stomach churned as my car came to a sudden halt. i hastily unhooked my seatbelt and jumped out of the car. there was a huge cliff, darkened by the absence of lights. i took a heavy sigh of relief as I sat down back into my car, backed up and started driving. Fortunately, I knew the road from that point on and reached home safely. It was a very narrow escape, I promised myself that I would be more careful.
