It was Eng lang Class 10th ICSE examination.
I had to write an orignal short story entitled 'THE SECRET'.
I wrote the story about my cousin sister whose mother(my aunt) died while delivering her baby. My parents pretended to be her parents as well. Yet, some neighbours tell her about her 'real parents'. Ultimately, she dies out of shock and melancholy.
I ended up the story with a statement of hope.
"If the secret had been a secret always, I would have a sister".
According to me, I did proper word selection and did no grammatical errors. What do you think about the theme?
How much can I expect out of 80?

well it depends on the person who corrects your paper as the evaluator does not know u .You story seems right according to the topic. but your expression and vocabulary must be impressive to score good in the essay . I thought of choosing this but I chose the family is incomplete without pets ....
