It was late at night. My parents were out. In the pitch dark night, rain was pounding the ground. Suddenly, lightning cracked loudly and the lights failed. The doorbell rang. Write a 200-250 word composition with the above as the opening lines. Describe what happened, how you felt, who came etc. Make the composition as interesting as possible. Answer:

As the doorbell rang I squeezed with fear. I tried to see from the key hole but I can't find anyone. I thought maybe he had gone but after a minute or so the bell rang again and this time continuously for 2 minutes but when my father was going he told me to not worry he will be back in 2 or 3 hours and if anyone rings the bell don't reply if he does it twice then also. If he rings continuously call me I will talk to him just be calm and relax have some popcorns and chill and then he laughs and they leave. I thought it would be as simple as he told but no it was like seeing the horror film in front of my eyes. Then scratching of chair happens I tried to see from key hole again and this time I saw a women sitting on chair just behind the door with white wet hair she was wearing white and red sari like I saw in the horror film last Sunday. I squeaked out loudly in fear and she heard me she bangs the door loudly once then twice and then continuously. I tried to call my parents but their phone were unreachable. She says in a creaky voice oh my son open the door for me please are you angry on me. oh no I said she is a child kidnapper !

then suddenly I hear my parents laughing aloud I opened up the door in cheer I hugged my dad tightly and then when I turned I saw my granny sitting on the chair I relaxed and then she asked why didn't you open the door for me son . I told everything what I felt inside and I asked granny why was she wearing white and red sari . she replied its the bengali tradition don't you know. What !

I think that's enough
