Answer:

It was late night anjali was about to switch off the lights and go to bed when she saw a light out side the window. On close observation she realized that it was a fire....the factory in front of her building had caught fire and because it was so late no one would be inside...well that is a relief but then no one would come to know and the surrounding area and the factory would get badly destroyed. She had to do something. The fire was increasing rapidly and her little mind could not think so fast. "Maybe i can call the firemen" she thought but her phone was dead. She had to take matters in her own hand. "But safety first" she said. She had learned about such disasters and the harm it could so also the prevention if I may add. She had to get out of there quick. Anjali whipped out her keys and ran as fast as she could and got to her car. An industrial fire polluted the air around with toxins and harmful radiation so she went fat away from the area and went to the nearest police station. They alerted everyone and went back near the factory accompanied by a fire truck. And to their horror there was a person stuck inside the whole time. He was rescued with minor injuries. Everyone thanked Anjali, it was a night she could never forget. She had saved the night!

Ans.                                                                                 Late Night

It was a late night. Anjali was about to switch off the light and go to bed when she saw a light outside the window. On close observation, she found that it was a fire. A fire! The very idea was horrifying. The house was on fire. Their own house was on fire! She lost her wits for a moment. She tried to cry but words wouldn’t come out. She was in the grip of an unknown fear. But soon she recovered her senses. She must do something-something immediately. She rushed towards the bedroom of her parents. She barged in and cried, “Fire Ma, Fire! Papa — fire!” At once they were out of their beds. They shouted, “Fire? Where?” They are on the ground floor. They came to the window. A cloud of smoke was rising up. There were flakes of fire rising. The Fire Alarm was rung. Soon all the neighbours appeared on the scene. The ‘Fire Brigade’ was informed and they replied promptly that they were on their way. Now we were confronted with a problem. Should we use the lift or take the stairs to come down? God senses prevailed. We decided to take to the stairs. My mother tried to collect some valuables and documents. All other things were left behind. The thick layer of smoke had spread all around. My parents took me and my younger brother and came down safe and sound. The firemen did a wonderful Job. They reached there within fifteen minutes. Once on their job, they performed it clinically and perfectly well. Most of the furniture, curtains and carpets were burnt to ashes on the ground floor. Thank God! There was no loss of human life. We thanked God and of course, the brave firemen who brought the fire under control within half an hour. Later on, it was discovered that a short circuit was the cause of the fire.
