Hello,

Yes, it is completely this that the gullibility of nightingale led to get downfall.
If the nightingale were not gullible, the frog would never have misguided her.

When the frog told the nightingale that he was the owner of the sumac tree and he was a well known lyricist and a singer with a baritone,
The nightingale easily believed his words without any confirmation.
The nightingale didn't even investigated whether the frog was correct or simply he was exaggerating before accepting him as her teacher.

Moreover, she was so brainless that she followed the non sense singing techniques of the frog.

The frog misguided and she followed the path of her Mozart in disguise.

If the nightingale didn't believe the frog, it would have been impossible for the frog to take advantage of the nightingale.

Hence, it is true to say that
It was more of the nightingale's gullibility than the frog's evil plans that led to her downfall and death.

Hope this will be helping you ✌️
