It was once recorded that a Jaguar left skid marks that were 290 m in length. Assuming that the Jaguar skided to a stop with a constant acceleration of 3.90 m/s², determine the speed of the Jaguar before it began to skid.

HEYA GM ❤

★ STOPPING DISTANCE (S) = U²/2a

S = 290m , a = 3.9 ms-²

S = /2a

290 = / 2 × 3.9

= 290 × 7.8

= 2262

U = 47.5 m/s

- HENCE SPEED OF JAGUAR WAS 47.5 M/S .
