Dear Diary

I am elated today! Do you know why? Let me tell you.

It began at the school ground. My friends and I were playing football. One of my friends kicked the ball with such a might that it soared in the air and splashed in muddy water. I ran to retrieve the ball. When I reached there, I found two footballs covered in mud. I thought to myself how lucky we were. When I one of the balls, it moved. I was motionless. How can a ball move on its own? But then did I realise that the ball was a kitten. It was draped in mud. And surely, the kitten cried for help. Without having a second thought, I leapt into the muddy water. Although, at first, the confused kitten clawed at me, I ,somehow, managed to get her off m out of the mud.

I took the kitten to the washroom and washed her. And, to my surprise, she purred. Maybe, she was thanking me. When my friends and Miss Sharma reached to the washroom, I narrated the whole incident.

I was admired by my friends and teachers. And Miss Sharma has promised me that she will call me on the stage tomorrow. I am so excited.

At that time, my only goal was to save the kitten, for every living creature has right to live. I came to her rescue because the Almighty chose me to help her. I learned today that good morals build a good human being.
