Now let's get to the story.Continuing from "at my doorstep......I got up and headed downstairs to see who it was. I reached the door and looked through the peep hole. It was Samantha. I had invited her over to my place as I didnt want be alone all evening. I opened the door and let her in. Samantha is my girlfriend.I opened the door and let her in. She hugged me and I returned the favour with a kiss."You're looking so good, even in those wet clothes." I said."Thanks." She replied.I said," let's get you some of my sisters clothes, you don't look very comfortable in the soaked ones and also if you got a cold, your mom will kill me."She says okay, so I went in and got her some of my sister's clothes. I showed her the way tothe bathroom and went in to stirup some coffee. The phone rang while I was pouring the coffee into the mugs. I picked up the phone .Hey, it's me Samantha. I'm so sorry I can't make it to your house. The rain is torrential. I'm ......." I dropped the phone as I felt the cold steel of the knife slice through my back to my chest and that's where it ended. It was a rainy day. It had been raining since morning and now it was pitch dark outside although it was only six in the evening. I was alone at home as my parents had gone out for shopping. Usually I am not afraid, but since it was dark and gloomy, I was a little scared. I was trying to read a book when suddenly someone knocked at the door loudly. I was scared as I knew no one would come on such a day. The knocking continued and made me nervous. After a while I decided to prep through the curtain and see who it was. I saw a women standing near a door with a baby in her arms. Both of them were wet and so I took pity on them and opened the door. To my horror, a man was hiding nearby and he pushed me inside and came in with the woman who was his accomplice. He waved a knife at me and told me to show where the kitchen was. I was quite scared and pointed towards the kitchen. He pushed me forward and both of them follow me. I was told to sit on a chair and the woman quickly put the baby down and prepared hot milk for him. Then she made tea and both of them drank it. As I watched, she took out food from the refregirator and both of them hungrily ate it. After finishing it, the woman packed a lot of things in packets and was ready to go. While leaving the man told me that due to heavy rains their hut had been washed away and they were starving. No one took pity on their baby who would have died of hunger and cold and so he had to resort to this method. He said that he was sorry for all this and would try to help me in some way, some day when he was in a better condition. Both of them left me amazed and a little scared too.
