Dear Diary,
Today was an amazing day! My twelfth birthday was today, and I cannot properly explain in just words how much I enjoyed the day. I woke up quite early today, really enthusiastic, and as I expected that nobody would be up yet, I was extremely surprised when my entire family shouted "Happy Birthday!" as I was on the verge of opening my bedroom door, and proceeded to take me to the living room, which they had decorated lavishly with innumerable balloons, confetti and party poppers. The cake was absolutely fantastic! It was two - tiered, chocolate flavoured, with mint icing. On top of that, I received fabulous gifts - a bicycle, a Harry Potter wall clock, an Avengers wall poster, and a beautiful quilling set. I played astounding games with my friends all morning, and went on a trip to an amusement park in the evening. I had an amazing lunch too, which comprised delicious pulao, butter chicken, naan, gajar ka halwa, tandoori kebab, dal makhani, paneer jalfrezi and kulfi. Oh how wonderful today was! I am sure I will never ever forget what an amazing time I had today.
