It (x+4)=6 and =x 4=4 then find the value of x^2+4^2.

(x + 4) = 6

4x = 4

Now,

By the identity,
a² + b²= a² + 2ab + b²

x² + 4²

= x² + 2 × 4x + 4²

= (x + 4) (x + 4) + 2 × 4x

= 6 × 6 + 2 × 4x

= 36 + 2 × 4x

= 36 + 2 × 4

= 36 + 8

= 44
