अंग हे प्राचीन भारतातील एक राज्य व १६ महाजनपदांमधील एक जनपद होते. याचा सर्वप्रथम उल्लेख अथर्ववेदात आढळतो. बौद्ध ग्रंथांत अंग व वंग यांना प्रथम आर्यांची संज्ञा दिली आहे. महाभारतातील उल्लेखांनुसार आधुनिक भागलपुर, मुंगेर व त्यानजीकच्या बिहार व बंगाल यांमधील क्षेत्र अंग देशात मोडत असे. अंग देशाची राजधानी चंपा येथे होती. हे जनपद मगधाच्या अंतर्गत येत असे. प्रारंभी अंगाच्या राजांनी बृहद्रथ व ब्रह्मदत्ताच्या सहयोगाने मगधाच्या काही राजांना हरवलेही होते; परंतु कालांतराने त्यांचे सामर्थ्य क्षीण झाले व त्यांना मगधाकडून पराजित व्हावे लागले
