Tom and Harry were going home after work. It had been an exhausting day, but they were trying to keep each others spirits high. It was late at night, but they were in high spirits, until a man in a long trench coat bumped into both of them. He knocked them both aside when he bumped into them. Tom opened his mouth to tell the man to look where he was going, but stopped almost immediately. He and Harry stared at the man in abject horror.
The man's face was covered in blood and he had dark circles under his eyes. His eyes also had a haunted look in them... He was shaking like a leaf caught in a storm. "Ghosts about... Careful... Tread .... Blood... Death... Run..."
Tom and Harry's blood went cold. They both looked at each other and with an unspoken agreement, took off in a run. When they were running, it occurred to Harry that maybe they should ask the man to come with them. He turned around to call out to the mysterious man, and stopped so suddenly that Tom slammed into him. They both were panting hard. "What is .. it?" Tom panted. Harry was standing with his mouth hanging open. He simply pointed at where they were a few minutes ago. Tom turned. He stared. The man had vanished into thin air.
