You can do only thing take buckets and fill the rain water because it is natural water and rest of it work will do nature by the process called water cycle

To save rain water we can do rainwater harvesting,an excellent method for conservation of water ,we can set up large tubs on our roof which will collect rainwater whenever it comes as we know that rain water is purest form9f water .
