तालाब की ओर जाते हुए भालू को 6 हाथी दिखे।

हर हाथी की पीठ पर 2 बन्दर थे।
और हर बन्दर के हाथ में 1 तोता था।

It's written that when going to the pond the bear saw elephant.....Monkey.........Clearly it means that only the bear was going towards the pond and while on the way he saw other animals.

There may be two answers to this questions.

1st Answer :

As the bear saw 6 elephants, 2 monkeys each sitting on the back of every elephant and every monkey had a parrot in its hand while going on the way to the pond. In this condition we can assume that only bear was going towards the pond.

So, we can say that only 1 animal was going towards the pond and it was the bear.

2nd Answer :

It is not clearly mentioned in this question that elephants, monkeys and parrots were not going towards the pond. It can also be assumed from the question that all the animals that bear saw were going towards the pond too.
So, according to this situation we can assume that 6 elephants, 12 monkeys and 12 parrots were going towards the pond along with the bear.
According to this situation total 31 animals that were going towards the pond.
