Dear Diary,
The Board Exam results were out today, and I am shocked that I scored 98.2%. Although, I am a bit disappointed as none of my friends remembered to congratulate me on this great triumph. But I am still pretty happy that I made my parents proud. So, what if some people didn't congratulate me?
The ones that truly matter, my parents, are proud of me and that's everything I could ask for.

Dear Diary,
Today was the best day of my life! I scored a whopping 98.2% in my SA1 exams. I couldn't believe my own eyes when I saw the results printed on my report card. But there is something that sort of muted my enthusiasm and jubilation. None of my friends congratulated me on my success. They didn't even bring it up although they knew I had topped. It was almost as if there was a studied silence among them. It didn't faze me at that time but after coming home and telling my parents about it, I realized it had been one of the most important days in my life so far and none of my friends cared to talk about it. They hadn't done that well. But that doesn't mean they would simply choose to ignore my success. However, this should not matter. I have always competed to do better than what I have done in the past and I think that's always a good way to go about it. I am happy for myself and that's enough.
