pressure can be change by changing its area p = F/A

that show area is inversely proportional to pressure so a. is correct

RudrakshSharma: dude it is not an MCQ a and b are two parts of same question

Pressure be P

Thrust be F

Area be A.

Then,

P = F/A

1) when thrust is constant

P proportional to 1/A

So if Area is doubled then pressure becomes HALF

2) when area is constant

P proportional to F

If F is doubled P is also doubled

So pressure becomes TWICE.
