⭐️⭐️essay on freedom fighter‘Free India’ was a dream of all Indians under the British rule. Everyone during that rule fought in some way or the other with a common aim of ending British and other colonial authorities in India. After a century of revolutions, struggle, blood shedding, battles and sacrifices, India finally achieved independence on August 15, 1947.
India was free in 1947 from the British Empire but the country lost many men and women who were filled with undaunted courage and spirit of patriotism. Today, they are known as freedom fighters because they sacrificed their lives for their motherland.
Indian freedom fighters with their true spirit and undaunted courage had faced various tortures, exploitations and hardships to earn us freedom.
The pioneers of the freedom movement were Mangal Pandey, Tantia Tope, Rani of Jhansi and the great Indian leader Mahatma Gandhi who introduced non-violent ways of fighting the enemy. Other notable freedom fighters of India are Annie Besant, Lala Lajpat Rai, Bal Gangadhar Tilak, Bhagat Singh, Bipin Chandra Pal, Sukhdev, Gopal Krishna Gokhale, Chandrashekhar Azad, Sarojini Naidu>, Dadabhai Naoroji, Sucheta Kriplani and Chakravarti Rajagopalachari.
There are endless number of men and women other than the above list who daringly fought for India’s freedom.⭐️⭐️

India was under the British rule approximately for three centuries. August 15,1947 is an important day in the Indian history as India got freedom from the British rule on this day .But to achieve this freedom many people contributed and many lives were laid down .
♧Mahatma Gandhi commonly known as 'The father of the nation' fought a non violent battle against the British rule. He carried out many movements opposing the British rule such as the Quit India Movement and Non cooperation movement .
♧Subhash Chandra Bose was initially a member of the Congress ; he later formed his own party, 'The Forward Bloc'. He fled from India in 1941 and formed the Indian National Army to free India from the British rule. He disappeared after a plane crash in 1945.
♧ Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru were revolutionaries and important members of the Social Republican Association. They were hanged and punished for shooting a police officer to avenge the Killing of Lala Lajpat Rai .
♧ Vallabhbhai Patel also known as the 'Iron Man of India' was inspired by Mahatma Gandhi's work and philosophy. He headed the Civil disobedience movement in Gujarat . Not only this,he was also the first Home Minister and Deputy Prime Minister of Independent India .
♧ Lala Lajpat Rai commonly known as 'Punjab Kesari' meaning 'the Lion of Punjab'was a well-known member of the Indian National Congress . He led Punjab protests against the Jallianwala Bagh massacre and died protesting against the Simon Commission .
♧ Bal Gangadhar Tilak tried to unite Indian by Sarvajanik festivals . He was one of the first leaders to demand Swaraj . A newspaper called 'Kesari' was started by him .
Apart from this there have also been many female freedom fighters .
♢ Rani Lakshmi Bai , the queen of Jhansi played a major role in the first war of independence . She led her army to fight against the British when did tried to conquer her kingdom.
♢Vijaya Lakshmi Pandit was an active member in the freedom struggle. She took part in many movements such as Non cooperation movement , Quit India Movement and Civil disobedience movement . She was the first woman to become the President of the United Nations general assembly .
♢Sarojini Naidu travelled widely and spread the message of India's freedom to a large extent, specially among women .
Apart from such freedom fighters ,there have also been many other freedom fighters whose contribution has gone unnoticed . We must give them a thought and always remember them because if we have an independent India then it's only because of them .
