Theoretically, it is impossible.

But if you use some tricks like:

15+5+(11-1)

5 combination 3 +11+9

use the 9 upside down! 6+15+9

  • 3! + 11 + 15 or

  • 3! + 5 + 7 + 1 + 11

Step-by-step explanation:

If there are three boxes then choose 3! or 3 factorial with two more numbers summing to 24.

If there are five boxes then choose four other. odd numbers to sum to 24 like 1 11 5 and 7 ..

Have to use 3! as one number in the sum has to be an even number.
