multiply by 100 both side

100y = 312.7(bar on 7). .....(2)

again ,

multiple by 10 in (2),

we get ,

1000y = 3127.7 (bar on 7). ....(3)

now,

equation (3)- (2)

900y = 2815

y = 2815/900

or,

y=563/180
