by , elimination method:

3x + 4y =5....(1)

6x+ 4y = -14...(2)

(1)×2= 6x+ 8y = 10...(3).

(2)×1= 6x + 4y =-14...(4)

4y = 24

= y= 24/4= 6

Now , putting the value of Y in (2);

6x + 4×6 = -14.

= 6x = -14-24

= x= -38/6= -19/3

hence, x= -19/3

y=6....ans..
