(a-2 ,2b+1)=(b-1 ,a+2)

a+2=b-1. ; 2b+1=a+2

a-b=-3. ; 2b-a=1

a-b=-3 -----(1) ; -a+2b =1--------(2)

Eliminating the given equations.....

We get,

a - b = -3

-- a+2b = 1

_____________

b=-2

Placing the value of b=-2 in eq.(1)

We get,

a -(-2)= -3

a +2 = -3

a = -1

Answer:

a=3 , b=2

Step-by-step explanation:

given - (a-2 , 2b+1) = (b-1 , a+2)

a-2 = b-1

a-b = 1 -> equation (1)

2b+1 = a+2

a-2b = -1  -> equation (2)

by multiplying equation (1) by 2, we get : 2a - 2b = 2  -> equation (3)

by sutracting equation (2) from equation (3),

2a - 2b = 2

-a  +2b = -1

-----------------

       a = 3

-----------------

by taking equation (1) and putting value of a in (1),

a - b = 1

3 - b = 1

-b = 1-3

-b = -2

b = 2
