1) Answer:

- (-x) = x

because - × - = +

2) Answer:

7x - 9 = 16

7x = 16 + 9

7x = 25

x = 25/7

4) Answer:

-7x = 9

x = 9/-7

Answer the following :-

1) Answer:

Let the three consecutive numbers be x,x+1,x+2

Sum of the numbers is 51.

∴x+x+1+x+2=51

3x+3=51

3x=48

x=16

The numbers would be x=16,

x+1=16+1=17,

x+2=16+2=18

So, the numbers are 16,17,18.
