As the object is moved from infinity towards the pole of a concave mirror the image shifts from the focus of the mirror to infinity.

Now follow- when the object was at infinity, the image had formed at the principal focus or in the focal plane. As the object begins shifting and moves towards the pole of the mirror, the image earlier formed between the principal focus and centre of curvature begins shifting too , first towards at the centre of curvature, then beyond the centre of curvature, then at infinity .The size of the image goes on increasing, is real and inverted and shifts way from the mirror.
